Science and Technology Policy Research Institute - CSIR

The CSIR-Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI) is mandated to conduct knowledge-based research that contributes to the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes for socio-economic development. CSIR-STEPRI is strategically positioned in the policy space to deliver their mandate. They have expertise in Agricultural and Food policies, Climate Change and Innovation studies, Advocacy and Policy engagements.

In 2018, CESRI-STEPRI joined the TIP Africa hub, a 1-year pilot project of the Consortium with two other African countries. The TIP Africa hub aims to promote transnational learning and experimentation across the region to address social and environmental challenges. CESRI-STEPRI has chosen e-waste as their transformative case study.
