The need to align the capacities of societies to innovate with grand challenges they face, is
increasingly recognized in various levels of research and policymaking. Transformative Innovation Policy (TIP) proposes an approach to address these grand challenges through science, technology and innovation (STI), combining insights from sustainability transitions literature and innovation studies. This report summarizes the TIP Research Network workshop, conducted in February 2019, which featured researchers from across four networks EU-Spri, the Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN), Globelics and TIPC. This workshop report provides details of the debates, themes and areas of further research for the TIP research community.
The follow-on from this workshop is the TIPC Conference at INGENIO, Valencia on 4 November.
