Imogen Wade

Biography

Hi! I’m Imogen and I joined SPRU as a Research Fellow in mid-March. I will be working on the Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) and its sister project, Deep Transitions. My main work focus for TIPC will be to help develop an overarching data and knowledge management strategy, and to develop a methodology for comparative analysis of the learning and capacity building in all the very different countries involved in TIPC. I recently completed a PhD from University College London (UCL) in which I looked at the role of the state in innovation systems using Russian Federation as a case study. Alongside my PhD, I worked in the Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and taught economics and politics undergraduates in UCL. Before that, I worked on social development projects in the World Bank. I’m a native English speaker with fluent Russian and French, and conversational Bengali and Spanish.
