The Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) has a new Programme Director joining the team. Victoria Shaw begins her role at TIPC, alongside Sarah Schepers, as Programme Director for the Consortium. She is based at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex Business School, one of TIPC’s two coordinating partners.
Victoria, known as Vicky, is not new to the University of Sussex, having previously worked as recruitment manager, assistant head of international and head of global partnerships. More recently, she has worked at University College London (UCL) managing a review and development of its Global Engagement Strategy. Vicky is a professional project manager, marketer and facilitator. She is interested in how our day-to-day lives need to change for a sustainable future, and in the potential for harnessing the power of groups for transformation.
Ms Shaw said: ‘This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the work of TIPC in creating a unique space for experimentation, co-creation and fresh ways of innovating. TIPC’s distinctive model for creating knowledge and impact opens up new ways for researchers and policy makers to rethink societal challenges and advance human and environmental progress. I’m looking forward to learning from all of our members, associates and partners.’
